Sometimes, when I’m tired, I just have to break out the #basic wardrobe.  This picture was taken right before Thanksgiving break.  And I was tired.  TIRED.  So a cozy cardi, leggings, and my trusty booties were just the thing I needed. Do you have a favorite cozy basic item?

Finally, FINALLY, fall has fallen.  I’ve been waiting impatiently for the time of sweaters and scarves and it seems like the time has arrived.  I paired this buffalo check flannel with a pleather pleated skirt to welcome in the cooler weather.  Nothing says fall more than a good plaid flannel, amirite? And even though I purchased this skirt about a year ago, it is still right on trend-pleats, pleather, and midi length.

So, bomber jackets have been having a moment.  They’ve had quite a bit of popularity for at least a season or two now and I finally caved this summer when I purchased this duster length bomber jacket.  It was originally purchased with some matching track pants but they were too big and long so I decided to just keep this bomber.  I paired it with some leggings and a tank for a streamlined casual look here.  I could see this maybe being elevated with a pair of heels. Have you hopped on the bomber train?

I’m pretty sure that since I purchased this trench vest last Spring, I’ve worn this vest more times than I could possibly count.  I’m sure it has become annoying to my friends, family, and co-workers, but it’s versatility, comfort, color, and utility (pockets!!!) have made it a true staple of my wardrobe.  Dressed up or dressed down, this vest comes through every time.  How would you style it?

Okay, I have to admit, this cropped sweater is so hard for me to style.  I’m not one to show a bunch of skin, but I love the print of this sweater so I’m constantly trying to figure out how I can style this without the crop being an issue.  Here I paired it with these wine colored pants that I purchased last fall. I think it works, what do you think?

I feel like this outfit is like a mullet-business up top and a party on the bottom.  The cape blazer just polishes up any outfit and who doesn’t love a boyfriend jean? Once again, the Who What Wear collection for Target comes through.

I felt like such a lady in this outfit.  Even though the pleather is a bit hard, the softness of the mock turtleneck, nude heels, and midi length of the skirt just made me feel fancy.  Look for all of these pieces to make appearances again soon!

I fell in love with this jacket the second I saw it.  I swear it looks like something a Golden Girl would wear. It has so much bead work and it’s just amazing!  I cannot wait to style this pretty lady different ways this fall/winter!

When I showed this look to my mom she said it looked like I was ready to get on the back of a motorcycle.  HAHA  While I don’t agree with that, I think that this leather dress is a bit of a departure from my usual style.  I love the faux leather dress in a sweet, professional style.  In fact, I’m loving the faux leather trend in general.  I am thinking I may have this dress shortened a bit so it’s not quite so long–downfall of being short! I think the real MVP of this outfit is the polka dot shirt.  It’s a light weight crew which goes with so much!  A true neutral.
